Step 2 · if you want to go further
The one-week reset
A structured week of saying what you'll use your phone for before you pick it up, then putting it away for the same stretch afterwards. I'm running it myself, and inviting a few people to run it alongside me.

What the week involves
Before each time you pick up your phone, say why you need it, which app, and for how long.
Use it freely for that window. When it closes, the phone goes away for the same length of time. No renegotiating.
Jot a few lines a day, then tell me honestly afterwards what changed, what didn't, and whether it stuck.
An honest experiment, not a product. I haven't yet run the full week with other people, so whether the change lasts once the structure is gone is genuinely the open question. It's free, and the group is small so I can pay attention to each person's week. Full details of the reset.
Prefer to talk it through first? On the call I'll ask about your past phone habits, then answer any questions about the week.

Not for you right now? That's a good answer too. The Sunday Pause below is a quieter way to keep going.
